PP film comes off a converting line in quantity, and most of it is clean, single-polymer material that has never left the factory. That is the best kind of scrap there is.

How PP film recycling works
Polypropylene film comes in two main forms. BOPP is biaxially oriented: stiff, clear, used for labels, laminates and confectionery packaging. CPP is cast, softer and more flexible, used for lamination layers and bags. Both are polypropylene and both recycle, but reprocessors want to know which they are getting. Both turn up well beyond the factory too. Flower and produce sleeves, bouquet wraps and display packaging are BOPP and CPP, and businesses packing at volume produce a steady stream of clean offcut and reject material.
Post-industrial PP film is generally the cleanest plastic scrap available. Edge trim, start-up waste and reject reels have never held product, so contamination is low and the polymer is close to virgin.
The complication is laminates. Film that has been laminated to PET, foil or paper is a mixed material rather than PP, and it cannot be recovered the same way. If your process laminates, keeping the pre-lamination trim separate from the post-lamination waste is where the value is.
PP film grades we take

- Label and release liner PP liner and label waste from converting, by arrangement.
- PP non-woven Spun-bonded fabric: hygiene, medical, filtration and geotextile trim. By arrangement.
Preparation and quality
Keep it off the laminates. Film laminated to PET, foil or paper is a different material. Pre-lamination trim is worth considerably more than post-lamination waste, so separating the two at source is the single most useful thing you can do.
Reels or bales, both work. Full reject reels are straightforward. Baled trim needs to be dense and consistent. A bale that changes grade halfway through is difficult to place.
What to keep out. Other polymers, adhesive residue in quantity, dirt and moisture. PP non-woven is very low density and usually needs densifying before it can travel, so tell us the form as well as the quantity.
